I've never seen one like that small one, that's neat. I never have liked the square ones either, have had better luck with the ones like on the right

I think the square ones are most ideal for a tapered plug. Your not forcing out over the length but biting on 4 points. I edit had never used the little one either......now not sure what its purpose could be good for. Never the the less you conquered it.

Done a little work with the grinder and cut off wheel and cracked the seal out like a boiled egg.

 

This spark aresstor has seen better days but it’s $71 done a little hot patching on it.

because as tore up as that poor machine was, I know a few guys who could have been previous owners. It's in good hands now. My 2005 King Quad almost like new condition

 

I worked at a Yamaha dealer for a few years, and one thing is for sure, Yamaha is PROUD of their parts. We had a guy order 3 marker lights for his V-Star 1100, they were $27 each, and looked like an 1157 with an extra nub on the base.
