That's my gas mileage with the average temperature for the week I filled up overlayed with it to see if there was any correlation between temperature and MPG.

Turns out there's more than I thought there would be!

So generated by you? I was wondering if it was some app or something you are tracking with.

The colder months dont account for the rougher running winter blends that always happen in the winter. If you were to conduct the same experiment in say Phoenix where they don't use winter blends, I think the data would look much different.

The correlation on that chart as is though is staggeringly consistent

I've been using Fuelly to track my gas mileage then on Friday had the bright idea to add temperature data from Weather Underground and tossed them into Excel for the graph.

Correct. I don't know when Costco up here shifts from winter to summer blends but I wasn't terribly concerned with getting that into it, either. I'm a numbers and graph junky but I have my limits.

I would be curious to see someone else's data from a warmer climate.

    :boink:
I knew there would be similarities but I wasn't expecting them to almost mirror each other.

If you have a link to your Tacoma, I'd be interested in graphing it to see how Texas compares. :D

That Rascal has a 4160 Start Winding. Hit the Go button & you know you’re playin’ with Power. Hydro let’s you start 2 times in 24hrs. 3 starts gets you the “New demand” bonus.

We get pretty cold here in the winter, but I notice similar dips when it gets cold. If it wasnt so much more expensive, I'd run ethanol free for a year to track the data with a consistent gas blend cuz I'm a data junky too.

Lowered trucks can be useful too. They certainly make it easier to load bikes in! 515DBD5A-B6FF-42C8-A480-379AE96E5520.jpg

Thanks. I like how I can roll it up and load stuff, like the four wheeler. Was limited with the shell. Never had one of these, hopefully it works out for my needs.
