This guy has never had a camper and hasn’t text me in about a month. He’s not to the block call list, yet :D

Any of ya’ll work on pool pumps? Took the dog out this morning and it was humming, not pumping. I can hear a relay click once when I turn the switch on or off. I’ll pull the cover off in a little while and take a look.

They are definitely some work and a PITA sometimes. I was spoiled at my previous job. I did prototyping for a package company for a few years. We had Industrial 3D printers along with tons of other fun toys. I learned a ton about 3D printing there and really got into it. Started making parts for TW. Then I moved onto machining and lost those perks.. but still really enjoyed 3D printing. So.. I picked one up a few years ago and have been tinkering and upgrading ever since. These at home ones are just so finicky and overall a general PITA and not as nice (obviously) as what I was so used to. It's a love hate. One day I'll have my own Industrial printer again...

@Fargo Taco have you tried heating it up as hot as it'll get and forcing material through. Seeing if you can "break" whatever clog is in there? I used to get jams and have taken the hot end apart a fair number of times.. It wasn't until I upgraded the feed tube and finally got it seated/sealed nicely against the hot end. That plus a full nozzle swap and just taking the time to get it cleaned and dialed again. I haven't had a clog since. I assume the tube to hot end was the solution. The old one was just wore out and cracked and wouldn't seal correctly against the hot end allowing material to seep out into that void it created and then cool and cause clogs.

Since then it's been chasing bed leveling and adhesion. Just a constant need to re-level after prints, make adjustments as needed, and hope it doesn't lift from the bed. I finally figured out the adhesion problem and solved that by getting a self adhering Poly type sheet (I forget the material, I can get it for you if interested) and sticking that to a glass bed upgrade. I also choose to print in ABS so I'm kind of asking for more of a headache, but it's what I'm used to, and imo its a higher quality material for printing structurally, which I like to make parts, so they need to hold up.

Long story short.. I'm kinda a 3D print nerd in my free time.

What does the “Moses” refer too, I saw it engraved on some of your other work. If you’d rather not say that’s okay too

There's a built in Verification/Simulation in Mastercam I use and view to make sure nothing completely crazy is going to happen.. but yeah.. even then.. it doesn't show a true representation in the machine. So we have another full blown simulation program that has every little detail of the machine included (full rendered models of everything) for when accuracy is needed.

Regardless... A lot of pucker moments every day non stop. Lol

We just replaced our pump to a larger filter. Got it off of Amazon for around $60.

Mine did that a couple of times. Separate the pump from the filter housing. The propeller on the pump may be frozen. Little wd40 and I could spin it by hand. Worked fine after that.

I hate to swap to a different pump, we stocked up on filters when they were in stock and cheap! Looks like Amazon has a pump for $92
