I was just telling a newer guy at work, about 10 years ago they spent a few million redoing the air conditioning in the machine shop area. I jokingly told them that there's this new technology out there, it's called a thermostat could you please include one. Anyways the first two years you could practically hang beef in there. I would put a lab coat on it was that cool. After those first couple years it went to crap in a hurry. Now I think one out of three air handlers are running.

Ah, I hate the beach

 

I like the beach just not the people

 

I’d rather go to the mountains and told my aunt if she lived there we’d come visit her a lot more

We made it as far west as Lahaina but not Kaanapali, which is where her conference was supposed to have been last year but was cancelled.

As for Diamond Head - they take votes every so often for where they want the conference held and it always rotates through the same 3 islands - Kauai, Maui, Big Island. No one wants to go to Oahu. I'm just along for a cheap trip to Hawaii so I couldn't care less.

 

The beach? Nah, not for me. My grandparents lived in Kittyhawk in my early years; I got my fill of the beach. Honestly, give me the mountains! On second thought, just realized. I live in the mountains

 

I always tease the Doctor why do you never have a conference in scenic places like Harlem or Jersey City the answer not enough good Golf Courses close to play a new one every day.

I live 15 minutes from the beach and have been once in the last year. I've made it to the mountains 3 times in the last year.

*I do have a free place to stay-thanks inlaws...

 

For you folks in NC what are you paying to title and register vehicles?

 

we were in Kaanapali 8 days and the big Island 8 days at Hilton Hawaiian village which we will never stay at again since we almost went to jail.....

yes fire. Started Friday with lightning and been windy and hot ever since. Had about 30-40 mph winds today and 106*. Raining ash at times.

 

I prefer the mountains myself, but I do miss the Pacific Northwest coast. Usually not many people out unless it's hot, which is like 4 times a year.
