I've had a lot on my mind. Just yesterday the day after mentioning the Aunt and Uncle that took me in as a troublesome teenager, I got a text that Aunt's health is failing fast. I'm torn between going down now to say goodbye and wait for funeral. I'm not afraid of flying but have always felt airplanes to be unsanitary even before covid junk. I mean 130 people stuck in a big tube for a few hours! Yuck. I'm now leaning on just heading out to the highway Saturday morning. I have over 240 hrs vacation available.

Thank you. It's just one of those things, I've come to terms with fairly well. The summer before last I went to visit my cousin that was a brother in March then his funeral in August, right before his 55th birthday. Rare stomach cancer. I was thinking it would be good to go tell her how much she shaped my life for the better, gave me drive to finish HS etc. Then be able to tell my remaining family I love them and wouldn't be back for funeral. But, thanks again, that means a lot and I'm sure you all understand the heavy thoughts I'm dealing with.

    Not good news, tacotoe. :(
It sounds to me like you'll regret not seeing her one last time if you wait.

That's exactly what a coworker told me before I went to see my cousin before he passed away. So true and good advice. Thanks

That would mean the world to her and the family if you go see them, especially after what they thought of you growing up to take you in

Yeah..and a screwed up part of my childhood I didn't mention the other day was that my mom and step dad cut me and sister completely off from that side of the family. I eventually was trained that he was my real dad until I was 10 years old! Lol, sorry to be dragging drama here man. I know we like to have fun here...not drama. I'll be good and figure out what to do. Thanks creed and friends.

Thanks again. I'll probably feel work out tomorrow, they're pretty understanding about family matters and I think the work load is low next week. They asked me to work night shift on my Monday off the following week but I could cruise down and back in that time frame.

One of our operators had small problem
So out with the melted stuff and I got him up and running. He then went and made a pizza and he gave me half of it.:thumbsup:20210107_192509.jpg 20210107_191643.jpg 20210107_174935.jpg 20210107_191638.jpg

I would make the trip and tell her and them. I was able to do this with my grandmother.

They missed it big time didn’t they? It was supposed to start this morning about 1, we haven’t gotten a drop of rain or snow here. Where you are from me I’m sure you haven’t either. My kids will be disappointed, I’m not though.
