Got the parts to wire the winch, only reason I didn’t go with wireless @koditten is I won’t use it much and the batteries in the remote would go bad before I did use it. I bought a water proof electrical box yesterday at lowes but it’s just a tad too small.

We have a crab apple tree out back. Funny watching the deer trying get at them.
I was banned from trimming that tree. My wife sits in the dining room and watches them all day.

So much easier on the wiring though.

My reference says this is a 14mm tapered seat extended tip .708 reach, 5/8 hex, hotter side of the heat range but not hottest.
Looking at specs, I’d venture that threads were accurate (14MM), but taper seat likely isn’t correct as most small engines are flat/washer seat.

Excellent - thanks! Taper seat is definitely NOT correct - any chance you could pull up a flat-seat equivalent?

    Reserected from the dead.
I have the wireless system on my anchor winch on the fishing boat. It's been in service 5 years. There has been no sign of the remote batteries failing. In fact my buddy has the same system on his boat for about the same amount of time.

I don't think remote batteries are an issue.

Water intrusion into the relays or solinoid is are more the weak link in my opinion.

5ADBCA48-2DB5-45F2-BDB5-129A05266D15.jpg Caught a decent pickerel tonight. I dropped my needlenose in the stream while trying to get the hook out, that was a bummer. As for projects, yeah I got them. But fishing is my main concern for the summer!

    Doing a Champion code construction
RC prefix (14mm, .750 length, flat seat 5/8) (Resistor 3k ohm /10k ohm)
8-12 heat range (8 is equivalent to original)
H or Y tip projection (Y is a bit longer, check clearance (rotate piston cycle))
a C (copper) designation is ok

so RC8YC would be where I would start.

Seems somewhere along the way I have read that a resistor plug doesn't work well/shortens the life of a magneto on the older engines.
Champion D plugs are no resistor. Maybe a D16 for a Wisconsin?
My old forklift with a Continental calls for D21.
