Think about. It looks like a decent deal to me and not so large you'd need a Crane to offload it. If your not going to consider it then I'll be mulling it over. I'm not familiar with the brand but looks like a well made piece of equipment with monkey wards name on it. Possibly one of the other guys here could identify a brand it may have been built by.

Really? I'd expect to pay closer to $500 for something like that, especially without a quick-change gear box.

It's amazing what a difference quality makes even in small things... I scored a smoking deal on a brand-new Fluke 233 on our local Craig's List recently, but the leads it came with were crap... strolling through Amazon the other day, I see Fluke leads for ~$30/set, so I figure, "Why not?" and while I'm at it, might as well replace the set for my venerable old Fluke 77...

Man, these things are nice, super flexible, retractable tips... talk about the gold standard of test leads!!! (Yeah, I know... who geeks out on test leads... )

This is probably actually a rebadged Southbend. Sears, M-W, and one or two other places sold these in the 50s-60s. They're good lathes, but limited in capacity. If you're in the market for a benchtop lathe, a slightly newer Southbend or Myford Super 7 would be much better choices.
