Broke out the big pipe wrench today and straightened a corner of a blade I bought.

Something that has been in my cart a time or two and the only reason I haven't purchased is I have a very small job and can go to family members house and use theirs. This is also something I think the wife would use if we had one. She's always got some type of little building project going on. She's used my pneumatic nail gun and other woodworking tools more than I do.

My calibrated eyeballs aren't what they used to be. It's frustrating for machining work. I was diagnosed with glaucoma a year ago but lucky no damage done, and pressure kept in check with eye drops. Heavily rely on cheaters now for up close and depth perception doesn't seem as good. Part of aging I guess...

For @Gregthespy if you haven't done so already make yourself some push sticks for that new bandsaw. I always share a true story about my late FIL who cut into the end of his finger and went to ER for stitches. A few days later when the pain subsided enough, he went to finish the job and cut right back into the same injury. He said it was very embarrassing with the same ER Dr. The DR told him it's not the first time he's seen it happen! I share this story with new personnel who haven't much or no experience with a bandsaw.

Only 53... but bad eyes run on both sides of my family. I've worn glasses since IDK, 3rd or 4th grade, contacts since 7th grade. Legally blind w/out corrective lenses. Edit; for the longest time my vision corrected was better than 20/20 but then when my near vision got worse the Dr. Backed off on correction to help me see close up better.

Ok. I guess that's not that bad.

I've had glasses since I was 10. I can only see clearly to about 6" past my nose.

When I was in my 20s I'd drive to work without my contacts in. I could see... alright. Assuming basic shapes and colors constitutes "alright".

Now I wouldn't trust myself walking around my house without them. I'd end up putting apple juice in my coffee instead of creamer.
