I totally saved a picture of this in my phone so I can make one at work to confuse everybody. I might get in trouble for wasting time and materials, but I don't care, this shit's funny

I’m getting caught up on the side work, so no project pics, but I did get 40 something miles in town today. Not bad for what we’ve got for snow

I need to make a serious life decision and figured you guys could weigh in on it since I really trust you all.

The wife has some Northern Tool credit from buying my Christmas gift and it’s about to expire.
I’m looking at 2 angle grinders (I’m partial to Milwaukee) my first inclination was to build on my M18 Fuel collection but I’m thinking I really don’t need cordless for most of the grinding I do.

    Here’s my 2 competitors:

    Model 6141-31
    (11 amp 4-1/2”)
    https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200668237_200668237

    Model 6117-30
    (13 amp 5”)
    https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200479007_200479007

I’m leaning towards the larger naturally. I’ve already got a beefy 7” grinder, but need a smaller one since my ancient Craftsman is about shot.

    Any thoughts?

Cant comment on the two brands personally. I bought a cheap HF years ago and its been great for my needs. I would get the corded.

I have the 5” milw and love it. But also have a bunch of 4-1/2” grinders along with bigger ones. Only bad thing I can say is you have to stock a bunch of different size disc’s

Yeah, I’m thinking the larger capacity might be nice to have. And one of the other things I keep looking at on the smaller model is the trigger/paddle. Something about the paddle just looks like it’s begging to hang up on cables. And the 5” seems a little more streamlined.

Speaking from experience with our cordless mikwicky here at work. The safety latch on the paddle is pretty sad, and that sucker will activate in your toolbag if you're not careful.
