    The issue was I was trying to contact them about a company that they host which was charging customers and not sending product. Couldn’t even get through to Shopify multiple times. The company since closed up shop.

    If I say eBay sucks and you sell your Vendor products on there does that impact your business?

    @Grossomotto

    Exactly who was the "person/company" that scammed you? Shopify tells us absolutely nothing.

    Shopify provided a route. Just like PayPal, Western Union, ACH transfers and Pelfreybilt.

    No, it wouldn't impact me because eBay is a storefront of it's own. Most people don't look at the seller who's selling a product. They just scroll through and find the best price and hit buy. Totally different. There's plenty of examples in this thread of how you're going about this the wrong way. Like I said, I understand your frustration.. but if the credit card company is taking care of it, why not leave it be? Shopify simply doesn't deal with that. They are only a host. They don't do customer service, returns, fraud, nothing. It's like saying if someone built a website from the ground up and you found it on google and they wound up scamming you.. it's google fault?

    So you tried to report a bad vendor to the e-commerce host?

    Did you try to google how to go about that?

    I saw the opportunity and I took it. Just hope I won’t be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong for it. ;)

    I’ll have to look, actually on my credit card since they company closed up and is gone. It’s some company that sells jerseys and I’m sure they were based in China or some other Asian country since that’s where they’re all made.

    Yeah I did that and went to Shopify Help site to report the company and you have to use their service to contact support online. They’re based in Canada and I found their 1-800 number. Called that two different times after being on hold for 15+ minutes never could get through to anyone.

    If the shop already disappeared then that sucks but again, a shop owner can close a shop at any time and there's nothing shopify or any other ecommerce host can do about it.

    I would recontact shopify support if it is something you want to spend energy on (your prerogative) but since your bank is taking care of it then this seems a moot point.

    For anyone else reading this, this is why I prefer using PayPal for all my online transactions. If I have a dispute, I can go to them and I'll get my funds back even if it was only 10 bucks for an embroidered patch.

    Researching vendors is a good idea too if you've never heard of them and they have something you want.

    Exactly, I've been using eBay since 1999 and Paypal since it launched. Plus, I research and review all of the vendors for feedback, etc. There's no feedback system set up with Shopify unfortunately and I know they're a hosting site.

    But, they processed my credit card for the store. The store didn't send the product and I tried contacting the store and Shopify, neither of which I was able to contact online or phone.

    After getting a refund by my credit card the store charged my card again for the same amount a month later. They had my credit card info which I didn't even know that possible since Shopify processes it, from what I can see. I've never had my credit card used fraudulently a 2nd time like this where they keep your cc on file when they weren't suppose to with a one time charge.

    So of course I'm a bit pissed and have to cancel my credit card and you get what we had here last week on 2/3...
