I only have a 2005 Regular Cab Taco with 415k miles and am shopping for quality brake rotors. The last set (AC Delco) warped pretty fast. I don't think I am abusive, but even factory rotors warp over time. I am thinking about splurging and buying slotted or cross drilled. I'll even try torqueing my wheel lugs to spec everytime, cause this is annoying. Does anybody have good experience with a certain brand brake rotor?

I can not give advise on a quality rotor. Sorry.

Do the 5 lugs have rear drum brakes?
If so. I will ask, have you had the rear brakes adjusted recently.
Adjusting the rear brakes can help alleviate some of the stress on the front brakes?

You might want to adjust them when you have the fronts replaced.

I have some Murray's on. I forget the brand, but it's whatever they had in stock. 60k on them wirh out issue. I've got them paired with brembo pads. No issues. I'll likely go back to oem in the future just because.

    Rears are drums.

Congrats on that milage!! Gives me some serious optimism about my 2.7.

I have had great success with my napa gold rotors and oem pads, but these are on my 6 lug. I opted against slotted/ drilled as it can lead to premature warpage/ cracking. A plain old rotor is plenty for these trucks.

Rotors don't warp, they collect pad material and that's what creates the pulse.

Improper torque will create a pulse new.

Lack of properly bedding new brakes is also a player in eventual pulsing.

If your rotors measure well, clean them up with scotch discs and brake cleaner, reinstall and see how they feel.

If you need new bits, NAPA rotors and OE pads are a good combo.

Make sure your rears are cleaned, lubed, adjusted and operating properly too.
