Shopping for a Tacoma

Hey everyone this is my first post on here. I'm about to finally give up on my 91 Ford Ranger after owning it for 13 years. My work truck is a 05 V6 Forerunner and the thing is a beast. It has me looking at Tacoma's for my next truck. At the risk of opening up a huge can of worms I'd like to get some input on the best year/ edition of V6 Tacoma available out there. I'm looking for a 4x4 model with good off-road/ performance upgrade potential. I'd like to do a modest lift and possibly add a turbo.

 

Welcome to TW. To be honest 05+ is basically the same thing with cosmetic changes. All can be modded in any fashion equally. These trucks hold their value like no other. But there is always a deal to be had if you look hard enough. Good luck with the search.
