    That’s what an automatic transfer switch does.

    Solar isn’t gonna do much for you since the systems (in cities) are designed to backfeed the grid and not so much storage for use.

    Myself, I dont have the money for solar, takes to long to get your investment back. I have a creek thru my acre, would like to set a pump down there to pump water into a tank for watering a garden or lawn.
    There is a contractor in the area who deals with Generac. They are more than I need per looking online.
