Hello. I am not an owner, yet, but very seriously looking at used 4WD Tacomas (or 4Runners) for use as a daily work commuter and for decent off-road capability to access mountain trail heads. I won't be a 'hardcore' off-roader/modifier. Fairly ignorant regarding Toyotas options, pkgs., etc. But very aware of Toyota's good reputation for reliability and longevity.
My wants are good ground clearance, decent mpg, traction control/limited slip/locking rear diff., 4 doors, and all the standard safety features. Budget is $30K tops.
Your input appreciated, especially regarding which Pkgs to choose or avoid based on my wants. Also, manual v. automatic-one better than the other?
    Thanks.
