How bout a full manual valve body , high stall torque converter and a paddle shifter .
all these products are available for the automatic .A solid shift kit and a paddle shifter will knock your head into the rear window on every upshift if you desire that type of performance .
There is no possible way a manual transmission will be quicker and more precise .

 

Yes, that is heavily modded. Maybe medium modded is more apt.

No long bed/manual option

 

Although those products may be available, I'd bet that it would be cheaper to just swap a manual for the auto. The manual is an option for the short bed, how hard could it be to stuff one in the long bed?

 

The only thing I can imagine is a custom longer prop shaft, it's support, and consideration that the rear pumpkin will be at a different angle in relation to the drivetrain.

 

Only approximating here but the shift kit is $200 bucks
The high stall torque converter is $ 300 bucks
and the paddle shifter kit runs about $400 bucks
If you do the work yourself you will finish the complete job in a 12 hour shift .

Swapping to a manual is going to be far more expensive and labor intensive even with a donor truck
