Short bed mat, OEM not available, quality option?

What my dealer did yesterday was place a new order from the California warehouse which was shipped overnight. He said most of the in-stock inventory is going to dealer-placed orders first since the glut of online orders from the Memorial Day sale; I never received a tracking number even after 6 days of the card being charged. The dealer got tracking same-day. I pick it up today. Don't get my Sport for a few more days. Cart before the horse, ha. He said "do you want me to place the order or wait for the truck then wait a few weeks for the mat?" Rhetorical question.
Kind of a backwards system (how the dealer placed order gets it ASAP but consumers have to wait), but I guess a new part number/truck and high demand creates this sort of situation.

Kicking an old horse...Two friends tried ordering the short bed mat. The California factory is backordered officially as of today. Told 4 to 6 week wait.

 

In order mine on the 27th. Was told it was back ordered 2 days later. Showed up today. So it’s certainly not an awful wait!
I’ll post pics once I’m home and it’s in.

Anyone need a 3rd gen mat?

 

Ordered mine the fourth of June UPS delivered today.
Ten minutes later in the truck looks great.

Toyota makes no sense. I ordered online on the 26th to pick up at a local dealer, called today and was told some time in July.

 

At least 5ft box mats are finally showing up. For us that need 6ft mats it looks like they don't even exist

 

Same ordered in May was told July maybe

 

I thought I read somewhere that there was a fire at the plant that makes the mats. Might be the reason for the delay.

 

FWIW, I ordered my OEM short bed mat from Toyota Fremont on Aug 14 and picked it up on Aug 24. I think dealer had a 10-15% discount so picked it up for $150 total

I had previously tried to order via Toyota Walnut Creek but they kept cancelling my order saying it was out of stock.
