Looking around here and there I stumbled across a video from TFLT on YT and the guy from Toyota says the the Dbl cab come standard with the 5ft box, and the access cab comes with choice of 5ft or 6 ft box. Either he was confused and said access cab when he meant double cab or, they are going to make a short box on and ext cab, which would be very cool IMO. link (skip to 2:37 mark) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0HD5jLC5BE&spfreload=10

Personally I wouldn't take anything those guys say as legit, they are idiots and have been wrong with statements. I doubt there's a shortbed option for the access cab. But then again no details known yet.

I don't think they would put a 5' bed on the access cab, that would make too many configurations IMO. If they had some kind of PRO build with a short bed and an AC that might be plausible but ultimately you will have to wait to find out.

The stupid thing about that.... If you go to the Toyota Website and BUILD a truck.

The "Standard Bed" and "Long Bed" are choices but they're the same thing. Both 73.5" long.

If you originally pick Access Cab....and scroll down to the 'Bed Length' -

If you pick "Short Bed", it automatically changes your cab length to Double Cab.
If you pick "Long Bed", it automatically changes your cab length to Double Cab.
Ultimately..."Standard Cab" is the only choice you can make. I'm not sure why those other two options are even visible if you picked Access Cab early on.

I don't see it happening due to needing a different frame. The access cab and DCSB have basically the same frame.
