I traded my 10 short bed for a 17 long bed, best decision ever. A extra foot doesn't seem like much at first but it makes a big difference. lol

Rear diffs and leaf springs are just as problematic on the long beds.

Southern California we can drive to the snow in the morning and the same day we can drive to the beach in the afternoon. I don't know how we survive here.

I can't believe we're arguing over a 1 foot difference. The different sizes don't actually matter because anything under 8 feet is practically useless in terms of work.

I park my truck a hell of a lot more than I haul stuff, so voting short bed here. Coming from a Ram 2500, I'm super over having to back into every single space I park in.

long bed was a no brainer to me, I bought a truck because I was tired of having to look for someone who had one I could borrow and not a big off road person so the decision was easy for me. Also I have not had an issue yet with parking and I have the double cab long bed.. only thing I regret about my truck is I was hoping for the same truck in quicksand but they didnt have any and no ETA on any either.. but still very happy with my MGM. Wouldnt change a thing!

Exactly. Even in owning the "long" bed, I'd still rather have a DCSB version of what I own. Then, just use a trailer for those odd times I need proper capacity.

Access Cab Is the only body style that looks like a Truck and does not look like a Utility Cab with a little bed stuck on the back... It has the functionality of a long bed and short wheelbase for Off-Road & Parking!! Best of both worlds!! Fits all my stuff in my bed secured, even my fishing poles, Tailgate up!! I don't need a limo to haul you're ass around, and can't help you move cause I'm going Fishing:hattip:

I sure this has been :deadhorse:... I have a DCSB Sport, but I would prefer a LB. They had my truck on the lot, it works and I love it!! But, I do believe the the LB is more useful. Just my opinion. :duel:

    Do you like.....

    Riding the SHORT bus?
    Coming up SHORT?
    Being SHORTED?
Getting the SHORT end of the stick?
    Having a SHORT temper?
    Being SHORT handed?

Of course not.....so why would you want your truck bed to be SHORT??

long bed! i hunt and camp with a lot of friends and family so all the extra space is useful. its also my DD and i've never felt it was too big to drive around town or park... cause i usually park where no one wants too.

I was having the hardest time deciding when purchasing mine and I went with the Long Bed which I'm happy with and no regrets. I also think it looks proportionally better.

I'd suggest taking a look at both in person. Once I saw it first hand both myself and my girl said the Long Bed looks way better.

Though the only downside is it doesn't fit my garage parking and turn radius takes some getting used to if not backing up into a spot.

Went with a longbed to actually use the truck. With sleeping in the back for camping I don't have to worry about my toes getting bitten off. Five foot is just way to short as is.

    Also looks more proportionate.

I came from a 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 Megacab Turbo Diesel.......If you're having parking issues, go get a Prius! Parking this midsize truck is a breeze. I use my truck almost every day to haul stuff and needed to extra room for a tool box that the Long bed affords. I also get a supplies off the back seat a lot so and having to open an Access cab back door was not an option I liked either.... Had that issue in the past. I like the more balanced look of the DCLB compared to the really stumpy rear end of the DCSB truck (opinion only). I'd really like to know why the hell we can't have a DCLB with the manual transmission??? Perfect option for me, and while I'm at it, why can't we all get better front seats... Both front seats!!! That passenger side sucks with no lumbar support.

I bought the long bed because the short bed looked too small to me. I completely agree with the odd look of the truck to begin with . The front is too long for a DC short bed . the DC long bed looks too long all together . The AC long bed looks the best but the rear of the cab is just too small for me. I tend to use the back of the cab quite a bit . I do not get how so many garages are not deep enough for the DCLB. The average garage is at least 20 ' (240") deep so these garages that are not deep enough must have benches or whatnot stored on the far wall , or they were built pre 1950 .
