    For the $70 of Silverstars you can work to run higher voltage to the bulb and then just use cheap bulbs.

    Increasing voltage also increase bulb output, significantly. It does shorten the life, yes. But put in a relay harness with low resistance relays and GOOD wiring and you may get near Silverstar output. Put in a boost converter and take the ~12v up to 15 and a cheap bulb will likely put out more light than a silverstar.

    you will still be replacing bulbs relativly early, but it will be cheap bulbs.
