Hey guys. so I installed a short shifter on the rig today, and noticed that when I removed the old shifter base, there was what looked like some brake fluid inside the canal of the transmission. I was just wondering if this is normal, or if it should be dry in there. I have been having some issues with shifting into first and second for a while now, so it would help if this is contributing to that. I'll attach some pics so you can see what I mean.

Thats the transmission fluid not brake fluid it is perfectly normal and should have nothing to do with your issue of rough shifting in first and second gear. First gear is usually a hard gear to get into because it is not synchronized but, second gear shouldn't be that hard unless maybe your syncro is going out. How many miles do you have?

It's only got 122,000km on it. Here's a video showing what problems I've been having with it when it acts up.
