Hello there tacolovers. Active duty Marine here stationed at Camp Pendleton, I spent my memorial day 96 on my way to and from Twin Falls Idaho to do some BASE jumping and purchased a barely used 2013 Tacoma on Saturday. In Idaho the seller keeps the plates and the buyer can't drive it until they bring the title to the DMV and get temp and permanent plates. I got home just before midnight memorial day and parked in front of my house in San Clemente, Ca. When I went to grab my glasses out of my new whip, I discovered between midnight and 9:30am my truck had already been stolen. From the whole 48 hours I had the thing I liked what I saw. I'm doing what little I can to get the truck back and figured I might as well put out an impromptu APB for fellow taco people. Every Tacoma I see drive by I keep thinking is my truck and figured maybe if I threw a couple pictures out in cyberspace it's better than doing nothing. She was taken with 3001 miles on her. She could be chopped into a hundred pieces, under a tarp in a garage, half way to South America or upside down in a ditch at this point. But if you notice a beautiful black Tacoma in any of the days to follow that fits this description contact your local police department. If they're driving it and smart they will have stolen another Taco owners front plate and placed it on the rear of mine.

Black 2013 Double Cab TRD off-road package.
    17" Ballistic rims
Toyo Open Country all terrain tires
    Black tube steps
    Chrome rear bumper
On the tailgate was a "WILLS TOYOTA" sticker
    No plates
    VIN: 3TMLU4EN7DM125125

I'll be posting this in the southern CA section as well. If a mod or anyone deems this the wrong place to put this please let me know, or has any other idea where I could get the most attention I'm all ears. I'm certainly not going anywhere.

If it's a problem that can be solved with money it's not a problem. I've still got all ten toes and all ten fingers so I have nothing to complain about.

Damn, devil dog... you gotta know your truck is already in Mexico.

Sorry to hear, bud. Here's hoping the insurance company comes through quickly for you and gets you back in another.

Maybe check with local gas stations around the neighborhood for their camera feed, if it's not too late. Never know what you might find.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Do not go to Las Vegas or do anything else risky, as you just burnt up all your luck with the truck staying north of the border!

If someone took my Tacoma... There would be some serious :censored: and then wrath to be dealt.

Glad you got it back. Take it out for a wash and wax AFTER they get the fingerprints of the :censored: who took it!

Sadly, This, theres a small chance it gets caught going thru border into mexico IF it had been reported maybe within the time it takes to go to mexico from Oceanside/Pendleton if on base (it happens) about an hour, if living off base in town (San Diego) you have like a 20-30 min. window, this happens like never tho'... sorry for that shit, thieving motherfuckers...

The sheriff who took my report found it personally within 24 hours on patrol, parked in a low income apartment complex he frequents. Going to look into a killswitch, lojack and whatever else to weigh my options. Thanks for looking at my thread and for anyone who eye balled black tacomas today for me.
