Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
from my stand point, you have a few options.
    1. trade in for a smaller truck
    2. park on street
3.buy on of these VVV,and mod it to five feet and park partway out of the garage.

Modify your bumper to be pulled off easily? Quick release fasteners that drifters use. Problem solved

You're going to go round and round on this.

But what you're going to need to do is suck it up and trade the long bed for a short bed.

None of the mods that would materially shorten your truck are wise or desirable on a brand new 2012. Folks do some crazy sh*t on old trail rigs. But that's not what we've got here.

    You'd be surprised.

Our buildings are 4 units, but the garages are all under the 4th unit (which is all upstairs, unit 1 is downstairs, units 2 and 3 are 2-story).
A lot of owners have cut out the wall from the bathroom to connect the unit-3 condo to the garage.

Every time someone does it, SOMEONE sees fit to report it to the HOA.
In the 20 years I've been here, we've never made someone undo it, but we have required that they get it inspected (proper fire rating on the door) and verify that appliances are powered from their circuit and not the garage circuit (which is on the HOA meter).

We've had a few board members over the years who were the typical "Nanny" board member, but us long-timers have managed to keep them in check and keep the peace with the homeowners.
When we ask you do do something, chances are you're really fucked up.

Cut a square flap out of the garage door and install a hinge on the top so when the door is close the bumper will extend partially out the garage door. Install a couple slide locks on the flap so when you leave, you can lock the flap closed from the inside.

I've seen some guys literally build a garage-high box as long as they need extending out of the door with a locking door big enough for their truck to fit under. If its okay with your HOA to build something like that out of some drywall, then that seems like the least permanent solution to me.

Whether this would work or not but maybe if your garage ceiling is high enough put some ramps to drive up into the garage? Just an idea whether it works or not. Just one end only like the front. Might be able to clear the 3 inches

Replacing the rear bumper with one that tucks up tighter won't help if you have the factory tow hitch. That thing sticks out just as far as the bumper.

Hate to say it but you're in a tough spot with this one. You're gonna have to modify the garage or leave it parked outside.

Plate/tube bumper may shorten the length by 1", not enough. The street Taco owners sometimes remove the bumper completely and install a "roll pan" to smooth out the rear end, but the truck completely loses the protection of a rear bumper.

Anything you can do to the garage door, like replacing panels with thinner material?
