Did some searching but didn't come up with any definite answers so figured I would ask.

Has any one installed a set of shorter stock style rear bump stops on their 2nd gen?

I've found that after swapping in a set of 4wd rear leaf springs that I'm bouncing off the rear stops on larger dips and bumps. Yes, I know I could slow down but I drive aggressively and that's not changing after almost 40 years.

If you went with a shorter bump are your shocks long enough to handle the extra travel without bottoming or topping out? Shortest bumps I've seen for the rear in the oem location is 1.9"

I guess I should have clarified. This is on a base 5-lug and the 4wd springs were used for lowering it. The shocks are stock with only 50K on them so they are still good and should be able to handle the extra inch of travel as I'm only 1 - 1 1/2" from the bump stop currently.
