    Tru-Cool LPD (Low Pressure Drop) 4544 3/8 barb fitting 20,000 BTU rating 9.5 x 11 x 3/4"

You could probably run the 4543 as it is slightly smaller with a 15,000 BTU rating 7.25 x 11 x 3/4"

It would give you a little more freedom with mounting maybe? The x44 fit though, so if you can squeeze it in there why not?
The good thing about these coolers is they have a bypass which runs the colder fluid only through part of the cooler when you first start driving. As temps increase, it then flows through the entire cooler as you hit optimal driving temps.

So if anybody is thinking of having kids or buying a house, do as MUCH to your truck as you can now! Lol
Finally making progress on my dual battery. This started, I dunno, at least 2 years ago when I deleted the ABS to make room. I started making a tray, switched batteries, moved....and decided it was time to tackle this project.

Only minor modification needed to get a working starting point for the new Odyssey 75/86-PC1230. I originally was going to use a group 35 X2 Power marine battery, but it was just too wide to fit cleanly (my winch control box is mounted just behind the airbox)

Pretty happy with how it came out considering it was made pretty much entirely with an angle grinder and my welder.

I was concerned about the weight of the battery resting on a small foot print if the wheel well so I made some bottom supports to match the contour, gusseted them and added 2 tabs to the side to use an existing threaded hole and stud. A 3rd bolt is in the center through another existing hole, and a vertical strap to the top of the inner fender. This thing is solid.

I'm actually considering modeling it in CAD (with some minor tweaks) now that it's built and seeing what it would cost to have a limited run made if there's interest

Ok, enough talking, here's the finished (still needs paint) product

I've been out of commission with a back injury for several months, so instead of working on the truck I've been working on a bumper design in CAD.
The design is based off rectangular tube for ease of building and strength, with a 4x3 for the main bumper and 3x2 for the quarter panel protection.
Still need to get under the truck and take off the stock bumper and figure out the frame mounts to draw up, but the idea is to weld the shackle points to the frame mounts and weld both of those to the front/rear faces of the bumper, and incorporate a tube from the frame to the quarter panel wings for rigidity.
Plan to add some flush LED reverse lights because why not.
I'm going with a dual swing out design so I can open them while hooked up to my trailer, and for now going to do a single side for fuel carrying. Using a dual heim for the hinge. I'll add the bracket for the 2nd swing out hinge so I can add the 2nd if I change my mind, but for now I'm happy with my (full size & matching) spare in the stock location.
I'll probably add license plate bracket/light to the fuel can swing out.
