No issues with mine either. I have the exact same one. I love it!

 

Same, just put it on today. A tiny static, but it wasn't bad. I use my iPhone for all music though so it doesn't bother me. I have my (slightly) trimmed OEM antenna under my back seat if I really need to listen to radio in an emergency.

Well after receiving and testing my shorty TRD antenna it isn't good in my area. I listen to the radio alot and there was way too much static. Also while driving from Cleveland Ohio to Kalmazoo Michigan last weekend it was nearly impossible to pick up radio stations without searching again in 15min. I'm going to put in the stocker and then get another antennex.

 

You must have the same one I do from Ebay!! It sucks anywhere that isnt wide open above you period and doesnt pick up stations from a distance either. Wait about a month and all the black except the carbon fiber will turn copper colored too!! Also, yours did the same as mine the bottom little round piece isnt flush with the rest of it.

 

Im ordering one in a week or so

 

anyone else with this trd antenna that experienced some major fading on the black part of it!? im now rockin a carbon fiber with bronze antenna haha

How much discoloring is there? Can you post a picture of yours if it is doing that? I'll see how it does, and I can just paint it if it discolors I guess.

Has anyone ever thought of doing a complete covert antenna? They make them for the hot rods and classic cars. I will have to find a link. But then you could shave the antenna base right out all together. A lot more work but an option. Something like this-
