    The least expensive shorty antenna fix is to simply shorten your existing antenna using a dremel or snips. Cut it to the length you want then top it off with a vacuum cap that you can buy at any autoparts store for around $1.00. I put some vaseline on the tip of the antenna before capping it with the vacuum cap. Radio reception is the same.

    Cutting your antennas will re-tune them completely. You are only getting reception now because radio towers these days pump out hundreds of thousands of watts. If you live in a rural area... enjoy your static.

    If anything you should be adding MORE antennas.

    thanks, I do like the shorter antenna though...reception is fine... in case you're wondering

    its okay we all know you wish yours was red too :D
