I shot a buck about 10 minutes after i got to my blind and waited about 30 min til i went to track it. I shot it about 35 yards away with my bow, but got buck fever cause Ive never had a chance to shoot one, and shot about middle ways down and high on its back. my arrow stuck in him and he ran 50 yards slowed down and stopped then took off running in the woods. I looked for blood and then just tried to find the deer for about an hour and cant find it or blood, but it was almost dark. Have you ever shot a deer and didnt have a blood trail?

Could of just hit the fat and muscle near the back bone. Wouldn't bleed too much and not kill the deer.

Sometimes you get them. Sometimes you don't. Try your hardest to find him. If you don't you know you did all you could. Learn from the experience.

    Good luck in the morning.

if there is an arrow in him, and he's running around, that arrow will soon destroy him from the inside out. depends if it's still stuck in him though.

Sometimes it takes a little bit to start bleeding. Keep up the search.

a shot that high it will have to fill up the whole chest cavity before it starts to bleed ya know its like putting a hole at the top of a bottle and you fill it from the bottom itll be a good while before you start getting it to pour out ... my bet is go the way it looks like he went ... knocked down grass or broken twigs

If you shot it that high, check on trees for blood/hair. A lot of times they'll scrape trees/bushes trying to run away and the first sight of blood will be on the tree.

It's good to let it lay down and die. I made the mistake on a 6 point of lookin for hours after dark. Kept finding POOLS of blood where it would lay down, but apparently we kept spooking it lookin for it. Never found it.
