Should a new truck be painted??

    Black isn't the right color truck to buy if you're picky. LOL Nothing else shows swirl marks from washing as easily as black does.

    That being said - my last car (2005 Camry SE) had major hail damaged repaired. This would have been in 2010? Almost always parked outside in the sun. And it was what they called "Phantom Gray" IIRC which had some flek in it. They sanded down some areas and had to repaint. Done by the Toyota dealer in town. Thing came back looking brand new. I could not identify the areas that were repainted other than the fact they were scratch free. Color match was amazingly perfect.
