Should be in 3rd gen, but no one cares. Anyone else happy they're keeping the 2TR for 2016?

And did it get better when the clutch was replaced? Want a diagnostician to look at it? Are you in warranty still or out?

Do you know by the service Dept records if they put in the a type clutch or the b type clutch? Are you out on warranty yet or still covered? If youre still covered I would continue to harass service dept until its fixed... As for me, I wouldn't bother with fighting service dept about a clutch... In my experience from a vehicle owners perspective, and shop foremans perspective, that's a losing battle... Clutches are wear items and are very hard to get covered under warranty with higher hours/miles.. I could understand right off the showroom floor a claim might be legit... But 10k+ would be hard to stick on warranty... Just mho...

If you're out on warranty and would like a diagnostic I can look at it for you... No charge.... I would likely recommend replacing the clutch with a better unit on the aftermarket... I really enjoy my sr5 and I hate to hear about people having problems with theirs.... They are good trucks.. But as all do, they have some minor wrinkles to iron out... The aftermarket has answers to the OEM problems... But you won't get Toyota to pay for those unfortunately... Its hard enough getting them to buy you a new OEM clutch... If you're just over it already go to the aftermarket and replace with a quality clutch

Haha this is the funny part I took it to a trustworthy transmission shop said it needs a rebuild. So ok my truck has a 7 year 100k power train warranty so I called and they said it would be covered if determined a rebuild is necessary. This is thier diagnosis. And thas the damage that warranted that. Also I switched to a lce pro clutch

Damn... Well why did you decline further diagnostics? Let then have it as long as they need to find the problem.. Im very well versed in service procedures... Step 1 is always to verify the complaint... Then find out the cause... If it isn't broken it can't be fixed hahaha...

They wanted 267 bucks to go further after they spent 2 and a half hrs tearing apart my bumper which is now scratched up. Kinda made me question thier mechanical skills.

Why would they ask for monies if you're covered under extended warranty? Diagnostics time should be comped if they find the problem... I would call and talk to the manager

I would too! Explain that you came from another dealer, show them the work order and demand they do better than the other dealer
