I purchased a set of Image Dynamics component speakers off of a member of TW. I paid $150 shipped (they were used for 2 days) so he said. He did fail to tell me that he bought them off of another member. So, I get the speakers in good time and hooked them up and one speaker is muffled and distorted? It appears to be blown. I contacted him and he said he didn't hear anything wrong with them. I want my $$$ back. but he says nothing is wrong with them.....:mad::mad::mad::mad:

If he said they were in working order and you got them and they aren't, he should be paying you money back and taking the speakers back from you.

Well I have contacted Image D and I am sending the speaker back to them and see what is wrong with it. Needless to say I am pissed and paypal has been useless and the member said not to contact him but screw that!

This is one time when the green rep bar and post count should come into play. With less than 10 posts I wouldn't buy anything from anyone. Sounds like this person is a scammer or just a worthless piece of dog crap. And to post not to be contaced is BS, either way he will be banned. That doesn't help you but good luck with the manufacturer.

I bought my TRD intake off a member who had 2 posts. 200$ shipped. I just asked him for a phone number so I can talk to him which he gave me and I got my intake fast.

As for paypal, good luck, that company is a scam as well.

I am not saying new people are not to be trusted but "Caveat Emptor" Let the buyer Beware, is always my motto.

I'd trade you a cat an empty keg and a slightly used 1979 Collector's Edition Playboy for a set of leaf springs.

Post count and years of membership mean jack shit when it comes to getting ripped off in here.

It sucks that there are so many scammers and deadbeats out there but one thing never changes - its up to the buyer to beware!

We need a sticky of "recommendations" for the F/S threads.

    1) Only pay via PayPal Linked to a credit card. If you have your paypal linked to your bank your asking to get screwed. As soon as the seller has the cash your toast. With the credit card company backing you up your 10 times safer and the "cash" can't be collected near as quickly as a bank. Most credit card's have very good fraud protection, extended warranties, and good refund policies.

    2) Save all received and sent PM's during the transaction.

    3) don't buy electrical or mechanical wear items....ever....

    4) Ask everything about the product you can think of...and when your done thinking think some more

    5) meet face to face (even then I would still pay via paypal linked to a credit card)
