I'm sure he ran the tag if the guy did not have history just being stopped was enough. The politician was probably mad just because he was stopped with his important tag and was late going some where it's fairly obvious when he denied that he was going 87.

Sounds like the trooper is gonna supoena three other lawmakers that he has stopped in the past and given tickets to. Yah know, there are good people, bad people and there are just Assholes. This state lawmaker falls under part C. It's a good thing to be respectful and polite and nice to a police officer giving you a break, it's a bad thing to complain when he's just doing his job and he didnt force you to speed, but it's pretty fucked up when you ADMIT you sped, broke a law AS A LAWMAKER and then complained when the officer tried to give you a break probably because he thought he would be doing a favor!

How well do you have to be paid to call and complain and the ticket the officer DIDNT write you. Seems like I need to become a Florida lawmaker.

I say the lawmaker should be fired for breaking his own goddamn law.

You are given wide discretion when enforcing the law, especially traffic laws. You can't be ordered to write a ticket, otherwise I'd argue that was a quota. And where I'm from, quotas are illegal to impose on an officer (that's an actual court case).

Nothing much. I haven't been bitten by the mod bug. A little plasti dip. And a set of Wet Okole seat covers with gun pouch.
No, just a slap on the wrist and then FHP should let Tallahassee know that one of their lawmakers just screwed it up for all of them. The Representative should be fired. ( with extreme prejudice )
