Toyota part, dealer installed in 2015 when truck was purchased.

never thought about it but should I be pulling it to check for water and rust. Looks like a bit of a chore.

    appeared sealed and well installed.

The bed is composite so other than the bolts and tie downs you really shouldn’t have to worry too much.
Edited: thought op removed his bed mat but he was just talking about the normal bed

That is not a bedliner. It is the bed.

So remove the DIBL completely? Looks like a pita especially because it appears my cap will hinder the removal.

paint was brand new when installed.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
This. If you remove it, you remove the bed. Look underneath. The metal besides are attached to it with no metal between them.

Be careful using cleaners or soaps just because it can make it really slippery. I just spray mine with some car wash soap and rinse it out real good.

Toyota uses a composite plastic bedliner my dude. People have differing opinions about it but generally it holds up pretty well to hard use. I'd recommend getting a rubber bedliner for it so you don't kill your knees if you crawl around back there. And clean it out lol

I just really want to know how much they charged for the part, and install. Cause yeah... like others have said, that's the actual truck bed. But don't feel bad, there have been a ton of people with the same question before you.

    Still thinking about it.
You should remove it ASAP! I waited too long and when I finally took mine out there was NO steel left under it!

I’m sure it was free then.

my last 2 trucks were a titan and Maverick and they did a spray in at the factory. Just looked at this and figured must have bought a drop in when purchased.

Funny thing is I been wondering why I didn’t order factory SIBL with the truck which is what I usually do. Now I know. Lol

composite sounds like a great idea.

Some of this Some of that
Bed stiffeners are a good idea, because the plastic bed pan is joined to the steel supports
