I just purchased q 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Double Cab V6 4X4 Automatic with 2000 miles from Carvana. It is scheduled to be delivered to my driveway on Tuesday. I have been reading about the problems owners are having about all sort of shifting problems being experienced. I am starting to think all the automatic transmission with V6's are problematic. I will have a 7 day period to tell them to come pick the truck up no questions asked. I hate to think I have made a bad choice. Any recommendation?

    No more Turd-gen :)
Drive it for the 7 days and make your own determination.
Put as many miles in it during that first week as your allowed.
The good thing about the internet is that it's full of information and people's experiences but at the end of the days it's your truck so your the one that will be happy or unhappy with it.

Even if it works fine I bet you find fault with it because you already have knowledge that a "problem exists".

Let everybody know what it's like dealing with Carvana. Sounds like an interesting concept for buying cars nowadays.

I keep seeing those crazy commercials. :D

Have to wonder why the previous owner gave up the 3rd gen after only 2K miles. Problems?

At least you have time to discover any problems. Drive it like a bandit!

OP What was your previous daily driver? If you are coming from a Hyundai Accent or Ford Festiva, previously, you'll be fine with the third gen. ;)
