I live in a small town in western Colorado. I've seen a salt truck once, when we had some ice, but usually it's sand. You see many older cars and trucks here. A number of old 80s toyota pickups around.

I’m jealous man, you don’t see those around here unless someone had the forethought to keep it off the road in the winter.

It pisses me off how much salt they use, half inch of snow and they’re out there dumping it everywhere. Yeah it keeps the roads clear but only with a little snow, anything more than a few inches needs to be plowed anyway.

I think sand and plow would be more than adequate for 99% of our winter weather, and would save a shit load of cars from rotting away into scrap metal.

    End rant/

    63* all winter.

I have a 2003 Montero for the winter ride.

I personally don't like the 3gen looks. Far too boy racer for my taste.... in all honesty the 2gen had to grow on me as well... I likey trucks to be trucks. Everything for the past 10yrs has been the rhinestone cowboys of the truck world. Imho

I’ve never owned a Tacoma or a Toyota or even a pickup before but I’m shopping for a new Tacoma. I’m in for a DC SB OR with a manual. There is value in the used market (not sure who is actually paying some of the ask prices I see online or quoted on this forum) but I have no interest in the 2 gen trucks.

I figured this would be a counter punch and not a bad one at that. I kind of like green myself. IMG_0435.jpg
