Jill and I have been thinking about getting another car so we can put less strain on our Eurovan. A neighbor we know pretty well is selling a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT wagon that he has driven (and maintained) since day one. I have seen this car and parked nearby to it for a year – it is pretty clean and was the fancy one for its year. It seems like a low-rider compared to my truck. Here is the exact one:

If we could get it for sub-$10K (KBB is about that) we might go for it.

As many of you own Subarus….any thoughts?

Seems like a solid buy if you know that it's been well taken care of. If I'm not mistaken those engines have a timing belt and are interference, so it's good that the belt has been replaced. Subies are pretty solid overall.

my friend does track days with his. he is a fantastic driver. with that car, he chases down Ferrari drivers and other high end cars.

he brings R-compounds, pulls out the child seats and he is GONE!

I looked at getting a LGT for a long time. Great and solid car. I almost got one but landed on the Tacoma. I still think about picking one up. The wagons are bad ass!
