So I'm considering buying a USED Avid Off-road front bumper. I drive on back roads frequently and really dont want to loose my truck to a deer. I've got the 2.7 4-banger so I'm not interested in adding too much weight to the front. Is buying this thing a good idea or a waste of money; and, how much do you think it is worth assuming its in good condition? (costs $400 after shipping)
    Thanks for the input everybody!

You can get a new one for that price.

I would and have considered one but ended up with a tube bumper instead but yeah shipping is going to be a factor. You might look at shipping through Fastenal or greyhound as I have heard they offer some decent rates.

That is not really going to help with damage from hitting a deer.

That's a light bar mount at best.

Had this originally, then realized the ebay plate bumper is 600 bucks so might as well get that and sell the avid bar. I realize you have a 4 cyl tacoma so that may not be the route for you. But like PoweredBySoy said its really just a light bar mount, you can push little trees over with it but thats about it tbh. If you do end up buying this dont forget AVID has a discount for tacomaworld members just search for it.

Yeah, but we're not all buying Avid bumper guards to prevent deer damage.

I'm in the market for a 2005 Avid front bumper guard, where are you located? I'm not as concerned about the deer as I am the saplings on the trail
