Something that only had 44K miles on it and had to be 'fixed' before it would start? And they won't pass on the known maintenance to you?
So you have zero idea what has been done or even if it's been in a wreck?
I'd take a hard pass on that.

I have bought several vehicles from Carmax with no problems - I bought my 2022 TRD OR with just shy of 14K miles in Jan 2023 for just under $40K with the technology package or whatever its called and lomax bed cover and a few other "nice to have things" - a new 2023 TRD OR equipped the same was going for $47K.

The other thing Carmax does not put everything the buy on the lot. They sell the junk to Wholesalers. The guy I was dealing with, another ex-Army guy, who I felt was being straight with me told me the 2013 CR-V I sold to them with 230K miles and some dings and dents for $11K would be sold to a Wholesaler for about what I was getting for it. I'm guessing they probably got my truck for somewhere in the mid $30s ( like $35 or $36) detailed it and put it on the lot. You do get a 90 day 4K warranty - I guess better than nothing and you can take them back after 7 days and 100% of your $$$ back . . . . or so they say - never did that but while you have it the first week take to a mechanic you trust - I have never done that either. The mechanic I do take my vehicles to did say he liked it and it was in good shape but that was way past the 7 days.

I think that is overpriced. You should be able to get a newer Tacoma with less miles for 37k.

Overpriced for a short bed without options. I paid the same out Friday r a 2021 longbed with tech and premium off-road package six months ago from CarMax.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
And if you do, dont let it happen in front of your friends! Otherwise youll spend a lifetime hearing about the "fat chick"!
