    Depends.

    If they want 50k, no.

If they want 5k, buy two.

    Underside looks clean though.

I'm old school, I wouldn't go above 10 for any engine that's seen north of 200k. And even then that engine would have to be pristine in a damn near museum quality car.

That said, if the engine is pristine, I'd say it's in the right neighborhood for a solid buy.

... And that's coming from someone who has never ever been on the side of "yes, buy it," so that means it's probably a bargain. :cookiemonster:

    Welcome to the Forum!

Offer $10,000 ( reduced to $5000.00pending inspection and road test) and let the horse trading begin. Some pictures had not yet loaded I missed seeing a bad section of frame

Sadly with today`s prices $ 12,000 is not all bad know that some areas are always neglected I tend to spend a easy $1200 in parts to catch things up.

if you do buy the truck treat the frame first thing !

    Best of luck!!

Man, you guys must be seeing something I'm not cause that truck is something I'd offer $3-4k tops for

Shit ton of rust specifically around all the body mounts and the part of the frame right behind the front mount; it's flaking and probably worse than it looks

Really, I'd just skip it and continue my search

Ha Ha to me being 100% serious that truck is perfect and would demand a very good price.

I told you about the 4Runner you made the brackets for compare that to this Tacoma do you understand??

The 4Runner is the normal in this area.

For reference I bought a bone stock 99 extra cab 4wd 5 spd manual w/ 130k miles and a clean frame back in 2013 for 6k. Yeah that was 10 years ago and prices have gone up, but I wouldn't offer more than 6k for this truck even in today's market

I can own a piece of junk and ask $10k for it, does that mean it's worth $10k?

    Absolutely not.

The US is huge, and the great thing about this forum is that even in CA or AZ, WA, or many parts of TX you can find rust-free examples asking for just as much as those in the rust belt.

Reason being is that many are just trying to pawn off their issues onto unsuspecting victims, or worse, thinking their truck is "perfectly fine".

Unless the OP is absolutely in dire need of a vehicle right now, there is no reason why he can't wait until one with less rust comes up.

For people like you and me, sure welding and fixing something like that up would be a weekend job. But if I can avoid it, why not?

Check out picture number 6, behind the body mount alongside the CAT. It looks pretty flakey there.

On the otherhand, if the OP buys it and needs to chop off some parts to replace later "because I told you so" well...I'll be here waiting for that PM.

Yeah that guy I made new rear LCA mounts for is stoked.

With my very slow internet all the pictures had not loaded yet So not seeing that picture when I made the comments.

I now agree that has far more rust then minor!!

Then when the Tacoma lust has hit one hard many things can be missed!

Much easier to say no when your not looking for a Truck.

Maybe after a up close inspection and full road test.

Go to eBay motors, type in Toyota Tacoma, then look for the link for “completed auctions”. That should show the actual selling price for vehicles. I use that for actual market values.
