Should I cange LR UCA setting?

    Recently went back down to 265/75/16 tires from 285/75/16 tires. I have the LR UCA set at the +2.0 setting (with the logo facing the wheel). Should I change the setting on it to the 0.0 setting now that I have dropped down in tire size before I go get an alignment? I am running the Maxtrac spindles if anyone thinks that information is needed to make this decision.

    Tire size will change the handling a little but it doesn't change your main alignment angles. I'd leave it be.

    I was thinking that they may not be able to get the alignment within specs for my truck with the UCA set at +2.0 and with me changing the tire size to a smaller tire.

    Tire size doesn't effect alignment angles. Should be fine.

    I set it at +2 before I installed my 285/75/16 tires to allow the alignment shop to try and get the alignment within specs. With it set at +2, it allows caster adjustment from 0.0 to +4.0, or at least that is what I read.....

    With me having the Maxtrac spindles, all of my front end geometry should be back like it would be as stock, correct?

    This is why I was asking if I should set the UCAs at 0.0 since my front end is theoretically back to stock with my Maxtrac spindles....?

    ^^ this. we can all chime in and say this all day. changing tire size does not affect alignment.

    This. Typically guys with ~3" lifts have the UCAs set to +2 to make up for the lost caster when adding longer springs. I guess i am not very familiar with spindle lifts, but i have read spindle lifts don't screw up your alignment like a 3" coilover lift. So I'm thinking you should be able to set the UCAs at 0 and still be in spec. Doesn't matter though if your alignment is already good, just thinking out loud and looking for some answers.

    Wait a minute. So should I change my LR's to +2 from 0 with my Icon set up? I'm around 2-2.5" in the front.

    The neutral setting with the spc logo facing the tire adds +2 caster
    After i lifted 2.5 inches i lost almost exatly 2* of caster, the nuetral setting (+2) got me 2.7*
    What i am wondering is do spindle lifts cause you to lose caster like coilover lifts

    I did, pulls the wheel forward and lets you add caster to bring them to the spec the should be, about 2.5-3

    Neutral , SPC logo facing out ( +2 caster ) put me at about 2.7 caster before we messed with the cams with my 2 1/2" , OME 885 lift

    Most alignment places don't deal with adjustable UCA's

    Only if the mechanic knows how to adjust the LR UCA's. Most guys here set them at +2* themselves, and then the mechanic will mess with the LCA's and tierods.

    Plus you are going to have to lift the truck, pull the tire off and possibly disconnect (if I remember correctly) the spindle
