I de-badged mine. Really like a cleaner look and easier when detailing.

Since you’re on the fence about it I’d say debadge. You can always put them back on later if you change your mind.

So last night I decided to remove the last of my badging on the side. The only thing left is the TRD O/R which I will keep for Now. There is a little ghosting on the passenger side so I will take care of that with some rubbing compound. I’ll take pics once it’s all cleaned up.

Anyone have their old tailgate badges still that are in decent condition? Looking to throw some on my debadged tailgate.

Mine is kind-of partially debadged. The front grill has no Toyota insignia on it. TRD Sport sticker removed. Considering possibly remove Toyota insignia on the side and tailgate. Of course, I will still have my customized license plate "My Taco" on the back

Forever the more chrome & badging, the nicer higher priced the vehicle. Chevy Caprice (nicest highest classed), vs Impala (middle class), vs Belair (cheapest). For that reason, debadging makes them look cheap & lower classed. Only thing worse is solid black wheels. That being said, both are the fad of today. If you need to be in the "in crowd" today do it. If you,d rather look a little nicer, up-scaled & classier, all the badges, & nice alum. wheels are what you want. Just my opinion.

Yes remove the badges. I don't think I've seen this yet. You could get the 3rd gen TACOMA tailgate insert letters and rebadge the the doors.

Debadging won't make anybody anything. Just make you "look" more like a hoodlum, sinister, shady.

Debadge if you are going to paint correct and ceramic coat it. Then apply the badges over it if you reconsider.

I haven't debadged mine yet but I want to, if you decide to do it definitely show us the finished product.

To each their own I guess. I like a simpler, cleaner look myself and especially dislike advertising badges such as '4x4', 'v6' or any sort of dealership propaganda.

Too many badges just look tacky to me and I'm starting to really dislike all the stamped logo tailgates that are commonplace now.
