I had one for awhile when I first got the truck. Now I'm glad I took it off because it was just plain ugly.

Keep it. All the trucks that I have owned, including the Tacoma, have chips in the hood without the deflector. The Chebby didn't, since it had a deflector. I'll be getting one soon.

Take it off and have it professionally painted to color match your truck. Thats what I did. They help with the chips...not so much on bugs

You do get chips and rocks hitting that part of your hood. My last pickup I had a rock dent in it before the first year. I still don't have one.

I really don't like them on our trucks. I've had them on others, but really never did any research if they are actually functional.

Had one on my 99, but it came off after a couple years after it got chipped and sandblasted from road grime. that airflow disruption was messing with the windshield squirters, it was going everywhere else but on the winshield. tossed it away never to put another one on again.

It's a truck,, it's going off road and it will be chipped and scratched up there.

    First: Remove Guard

Second: Throw it on the Ground and jump on top of it repeatedly until it is beyond repair.

Third: Take pictures so we can all laugh at other people who still have them on.

Fourth: Get Laid by the Blonde Bombshell down the street because you are Now Cool... :D
