Hey guys, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on these coilovers and rear shocks?

Should I hold out for the 2.5's for better cooling?

I'm looking to make a substantial upgrade from the stock suspension for light to medium duty offroading and overlanding. I'm also hoping to get the most bang for my buck. I'm well aware of the law of diminishing returns, so if there is a setup that is more economical, or a setup that I'd benefit much more from by spending a little more money please let me know! Thanks,

Is it possible to have aftermarket fox shocks in red?
    Similar to the TRD versions.

Depends on how you use your vehicle and driving style. Realistically, most people won’t need more than a 2.0 shock. Both shocks you are lookin st are also IFP so they have minimal amounts of oil.

I don’t know how you drive or what you do so I can’t really say.

In St. Louis you might appreciate the aluminum bodies of the 2.0 over the steel bodies of the 2.5 for the rust factor.

I'm looking for light to medium duty offroading and overlanding. The stock SR5 shocks are pretty bouncy and dive a bunch. I'm just looking for the best upgrade for my money.

These will work great for you and the alumnium will be less prone to corrosion.

This is a vague statement being that the amount of weight you plan on carrying or adding to the truck is also very important.

    Hey everybody!

Buy once, cry once. I'll be slapping on a two thousand dollar suspension shortly. Just bought the fox suspension and the OME pack:

Congrats! It’ll be a huge improvement for you.

Do you have support of why you say that?

Thats was a quick way to take the wind out of the OP’s sail.

why? because it will pay for itself in the future. I rather not have to upgrade anymore and just rebuild these. I'm telling them this because It's a long term solution which is clearly not for everybody.

I think he's saying that because he went for the reservoir version.

I say go 2.5 fronts and 2.0 with reservoir rears!!!!!!! spray the bodies with fluid film before installation.

It sounds like you’re implying that the shocks the OP bought are not serviceable and therefore not a long term solution? Do you service your own shocks?

I understood where he was going, I just wanted to hear his reasoning.

The only benefit of going to a reservoir, besides having the DSCs as an option, is additional fluid capacity and heat dissipation which does not sound like it will be an issue for the OP. Typically people who go to a 7/8” shaft shock in a 2.5” find the ride to be much stiffer and unpleasant. Unless you’re really planning on using your truck, I don’t think they fit everyone’s driving style.

Haha. Sorry dude. I won't have that kind of disposable income for a few years now. But I understand why you'd want it.

How those spidertrax working for you? I've got spacers on my daily and can't decide if I should go that way with the Taco too.
