I was gonna go the fox 2.0 route too but decided on bilstien 5100's instead. Little lighter on the wallet and for the offroading plan to do it will work fine.
build the truck for how you plan to use it.

I'm sure the 5100's would have been fine for my use case too, I just wanted aluminum cus I have an irrational fear of rust.

I hear that. The matte dark bronze F5's get me every time.

Tire place took a good chunk out of my SR5 wheels last time I got a rotation. Pretty sure I'd have to kill em if they did that to some SCS wheels.

Inspect the wheels with them before they touch them. My place pointed out the smallest blems on mine before they installed. Also, go to a trustworthy place that won't screw up your wheels.

    me? I have them on.
600lbs 13" feels a little spongy to me. I am upping to 700lbs 14". I like a stiff ride. I will be adding a steel front bumper eventually.

I had those 2.0 front coilovers on my 09. They ride amazing on the road, you will love them. I didn't do anything more then shitty fire roads but they were great there too. A hell of a lot better ride then my 5100 setup before.

Literally pondering the exact same setup you went with. Interested in seeing pics once installed and what your impression is. Also - what made you go for the reservoirs in the rear ultimately?

    Can’t wait to see it!!

Honestly I'm not sure if I need the resis in the rear or not. But for about 50 bucks more for resis I'm manily doing it because:

    1.) Wasn't much more money
2.) I saw that scary caranddriver video where they overheated and OR Tacoma's rear suspension in Death Valley
3.) FOX offers an aluminum rear shock setup with resis but not a front for some reason....
    4.) It just looks badass

I'll make a install post this weekend most likely. I've got all the rear parts and the front coilovers are supposed to be delivered today!

Can’t wait for the install post and impression. What are you expecting to get for lift in the front? I was reading just an inch on 3rd gen from the 2.0 coils?

And - good luck w the install! Def watching.
