Should I get alignment now or later?

    One last time - if the tires have uneven tread - as I said previous - you will adjust the suspension to that tire. So, when you put a new tire on, it will not be the same. Is that plain enough English for you? That is a FACT and that is what I said and it's 100% correct. What you gunna do next, ask Alexa? Goodbye troll.

    Maybe your friend is giving YOU bad information.
    If a tire is worn perfectly, then sure, it only effects ride height. But if its worn across the tread differently (tread depth) it could potentially effect how the car sits on the rack therefore making the head be at a different angle. Even if the tires are worn different on each side - one with more tread than the other. That is my professional opinion. Perhaps it can be debated between professionals; but not Google Techs.
