Should I get divorced?

me and wifey still have separate bank accounts.....weird, its never been an issue or need yet...maybe thats why i love her so much, she always says, look santa came again today...

 

I'm married and we both work/make our own money, I don't have to run anything by her and vice versa. That will likely change once kids come into the picture.

Just a different way of doing it, if one of us was the sole breadwinner and the other stayed home to take care of kids, the house, family activities etc then having to get the others' blessing on big ticket spending items makes sense to me.

Been married for over 24 years and together for 4 before that. Always had one account. Seriously, if you can't figure that out together, you got some work to do.

Hey, no intent to direct that at you. I often speak in wide generalities. And it is, just my 2 cents.

 

My problem is every time I buy something it cost me double. She says "How much was that?" I say "Only $650". The next day a shit ton of Amazon boxes show up w/ her name on it. And I can't say a word. She's smart.

When you marry you have become one. It's not my money anymore, it's our money. But I get stuff all the time without asking. I'm a hypocrite.

 

You should give her a chance...to go pick those thing up right now. If not then divorce is a clear option.
