@brandnewcolony Dude, are you sure you have 285/75r16? I just checked BFGoodrich website and neither the Ragged Terrains or the Ragged Trails even come in that size. Better double check what you have

I thought it was amazing as well that the 285's fit. I can tell by looking at the UCA's that they rub just a tad but that's all.
One of the guys on here has a TRD Pro with factory suspension with 285/75/16 BFG KO2's and he swears they don't rub.

A lot of people that go to the mall don't rub. Just saying.

With your lift and setup I bet you could drive over all the curbs, shrubbery, and other landscaping at the mall and not rub!

that's no shit. With 3" lift and 285/75r16 and I have hacked the crap out of the cab mount, fender flares, part of the fender behind the flares, and trimmed part of the front flare/fender liner.

I have 265/75r16 KO2s, here are a few pictures. I don't have any rubbing issues, and no complaints about their trail performance.

They were such a good seller, they discontinued them evidently. wonder how long ago they were discontinued? Might have something to do with the low offer? For what it is worth, my NEW takeoff rugged trail 265/70/r16 only brought $300 trade in, but they are shitty tires and I didn't want them sitting around trying to find a buyer

    So just to be clear,
285's will work on the street with a 3" lift but will rub on the dirt
265's will work on both street and trail but you will sacrifice looks?

Might have missed it but why has no one suggested 255/85r16?? Awesome size tire if you like the height of the 285's but want a narrower tire. Lots of people here are very happy with them and they will fit on a 3 inch lift.

My next size will be 255/75r17.

Check out my build page. I have the 265/70/17 BFG K02's and love them. No trimming required.

I debadged it, had to work a whole bunch and put on a K&N in time to deploy. Now my wife controls the money and hopefully I have enough when I get back to get her washed. Soooo... mods are in progress?

I guess it depends on what you see as "proportional."

While I think that this truck looks BA, I do not see "proportional." Maybe in a DC. All I see is a complete disregard for curbs, parking stops, and maybe small animals/shrubbery.

If he gets in a spot where that 1/2" of clearance is a really big deal he either took the wrong line or he shouldn't have gotten there in the first place.
