Should I go back to stock and return 5100/5160 and should I sort of level it or not?

Ive installed quite a few 5100's. It's subjective for sure, but I hate it over 3rd. Max is so bad I hit my head on the ceiling while testing them. You're still asking more from a spring than it was designed for.

Sorry, I should clarify with will it rub when steering and on roads as a daily driven car since this will be my daily driver throughout college?

I have no rubbing at all with 275/70/17. The key point is to have the right wheels with the right offset. The 4Runner SEMA wheels are narrow, so they have the effect of keeping the tire narrow was well. 275/70/17 are an approved tire on a 7” wide rim so it’s all good.

For whatever reason there is slight variation in Tacoma frames and alignment specs. If you do rub, it will be minimal and easily ignored, with the 7” wide wheels.

Good information to be found here:

My truck on 275’s and 4Runner wheels. Note I still have my factory mudflaps.
