Even 8" is overkill for offroading. It's a roll over waiting to happen, really no need to go that high other than looks...

i love the setup you have...even though its a show rig i still think some trail grapplers or km2's wold help set off the look of the truck even more in a 285 size...otherwise its beautiful

My brother as much as the 6" looks good, I personally wish i would of stayed at a 3". The 6" is heavier, it raises center of gravity, a huge loss of turning radius, knuckle "bind" sound at full turn, fuel economy drops even more, it costs three times as much and really doesn't clear a much larger tire. I still had to do the body mount chop to clear my 33.5's. Stay 3" preferably OME. That is the best ride and performance in my opinion.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
I'd be wary of towing an expensive show car mustang on a trailer with a taco with large tires and 6" lift.

That's one hell of an expensive accident, and the loss of control from the lift is gonna make it tough to tow comfortably.

im already rubbing when i turn with the tires i have and we have already modified the front mud flaps and the bumper, i think its still catching on the plastic peices underneath from where i can see some wear.
I have the Nitto Grappler AT's on there now (LT275/70R18) could I get a bigger tire under there and still be able to turn it without the tire ripping into my front bumper? or should i wait and do that when i get my metal bumpers?

Hey, what's up? I know it's a difficult decision, but I'm in the same dilemma. I've decided to go with a 3" body lift. I have a 3" suspension lift, but I want to go higher. With the body lift, I'll achieve the same look, but without the price tag. I won't lose ground clearance and I'm putting on 33's.:mudding:

bodylift at 3in is never a great idea on any truck...offroad its dangerous and major point deduction on a show truck......however roger brown makes custom bodylifts i will be using a 1.5in bl to clear 34's for offroading with midtravel coilovers....on a show truck i do not recomend any bodylift though...judges will not approve...

OP-if your planning on getting offroad bumpers which i think is a great idea...i would deff 100% step up too 285's and get a mudterrain....btw if you do judges loved my kumho kl71's i had on my old duramax and thery were awsome tires on and offroad ,great in the rain, snow etc and they tow heavy loads very smoothly....so i recomend staying at a full 3in lift...and when u get ur bumpers get the tires.....btw ive run several sets of terra grapplers they are my fav a/t tire....
