don't know what the deal is with Frontiers, but I rarely see any. I'm sure they're fine trucks, but still I never see any of them on the road.

On a recent thread here.. I saw something about frontiers needing severe expensive maintence around 150K to 200k.. Something like that.
Toyota is the way to go for you

(I may be wrong on that, just what I seem to remember)

Black Sand Pearl factory paint - flattened "au natural" by tree branches.
I bought a Nissan Titan once. It had a catastrophic transfer case failure, and developed an ongoing intermittent electrical problem that caused complete loss of abs, traction control, and 4x4 all at the same time. I spent a couple of nights stranded in slippery forests. I spent many days travelling back and fourth to the dealership, and they spent a ton of money replacing things and trying to fix the problem, and gave up after several months.

I spun out of control in a snow storm and totalled the truck during one of the days when all of the systems decided not to work. My fondest memory of the Nissan was the day my insurance cheque came in and I bought a new Tacoma :).

I've never so much as replaced a light bulb in the Tacoma, and never looked back.

The Nissan trucks overseas are quite successful, but I don't think the build quality is there yet in the American versions. But some people like them, so to each his own. Everybody thinks they bought the best in the end.

That's about 3-to-1 sales domination for the past 11 years just against the Taco. No wonder I don't notice Frontiers on the road. Factor in US brand sales and Nissan isn't selling many trucks for whatever reason. They're good trucks.
