Started spraying the hood and grill. The grill looks really nice, the hood... not so much. You can see where I ground off the clear coat haha. Not to mention the fucking wind kept blowing dead grass on to it while it was wet! Starting to get the feeling I should get some herculiner to throw on top since that's what is on my armor...

:goingcrazy:oh man, I hate wind blowing particulate onto newly sprayed peices! Good luck with the rest of the hood/grill project!

I definitely like the way you have it designed in the picture. It looks pretty cool.

The only suggestion I would make is to use Duplicolor, I get it from Pep Boys. I've done a lot of parts of both trucks and jeeps with Duplicolor and The Rustoleom bedliner product. Duplicolor uses more a thread substance wheres as Rustoleom uses a gritty substance. The overall product is much more course for Rustoleom than Duplicolor. Duplicolor ends up being easier to maintain, from my experience, that would be my choice.

I used Duplicolor spray liner on my "DIY angle iron bed bar". I was kinda lazy with the prep work, but all things considered, the finished product is not half-bad. However, I didn't seal it with any spray or anything. If I were to refinish it, I definitely would spray some enamel over the spray liner. I might be de-chroming my bumpers with liner soon (great job on that black Chevy 2500!), as the WI winters are starting to take their rusty toll...

Herculiner or the duplicolor/rustoleum rattle can bedliner? Herculiner is ready for light use in 6 hrs and fully cures in 24 hrs. The rattle can bedliner is probably ready for handling in about 2 hrs and fully dries in 24 hrs.
